A low-pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal, off the north Odisha-West Bengal coast, the Meteorological Centre informed. According to the weather department, the system developed at 5:30 AM today due to the influence of an active cyclonic circulation from yesterday. The system is expected to trigger widespread rainfall across Odisha over the next two days. Officials are closely monitoring the system.
