Continuous rainfall has led to the closure of schools in Bhadrak and Puri districts. In Bhadrak, the District Collector has announced a holiday today for all Government, Government-aided and private schools in the district. Citing the incessant rain and waterlogging situation, the Collector said the decision was taken giving top priority to students’ safety. Similarly, due to heavy rainfall, all schools in Puri district will also remain closed today. Collector announced holiday from Anganwadi to +2 level. Authorities have urged parents and students to stay indoors and follow weather updates.
