The pulling of the chariots during the Puri Ratha Jatra was halted for the day on Thursday, with none of the three chariots reaching the Gundicha Temple. While, Lord Balabhadra’s chariot, Taladhwaja, came to a halt near Market Square, Devi Subhadra’s chariot, Darpadalan, stopped at Marichikota Square. Similarly, Lord Jagannath’s chariot, Nandighosha, also moved only a short distance before stopping. The chariots will resume their journey towards Gundicha Temple tomorrow morning after the usual rituals. Security and administrative arrangements remain in place along the route.
