Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a fruitful meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Bishkek. The two leaders discussed various aspects of India-Iran bilateral relations and exchanged views on recent developments in the West Asia region. Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasised the need for continued collective efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, while safeguarding the freedom of navigation and the smooth flow of commerce.
