Marking the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi released the fifth instalment of assistance under the Subhadra Yojana at Lathipada in Nayagada. A total of 1,03,26,162 beneficiaries will receive financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana. More than ₹5,160 crore will be credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. Each beneficiary will receive Rs 5,000 directly into her bank account through DBT. Among them, 2,21,054 women will receive Subhadra assistance for the first time. On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women and Child Development Pravati Parida extended her greetings to women across the state on Raksha Bandhan.
