The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has intervened in the murder case of GRP Constable Soumyaranjan Swain of Balianta. Taking suo motu cognizance of media reports, the Commission has issued directions to the Chief Secretary of Odisha and the Director General of Police (DGP) to submit a detailed report on the incident within two weeks.
