Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Siddaramaiah had resigned from the post of Karnataka Chief Minister yesterday. In the Governor’s absence, Siddaramaiah submitted his resignation letter to the Governor’s Secretary at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru. The Governor had gone to his birthplace Indore yesterday due to an emergency, which is why he was not present to receive the resignation in person. The Governor has dissolved the council of ministers headed by Siddaramaiah. Siddaramaiah shall continue to function as Chief Minister till an alternative arrangement.
