Massive earthquakes rock Venezuela
At least 32 people have been killed and around 700 others injured after two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela on Wednesday.
 
Venezuela was struck by two powerful back-to-back earthquakes, causing widespread destruction across Caracas and several states.
 
While, magnitude of 7.2 struck at 6:04 PM local time, 160 km west of Caracas near San Felipe/Morón, magnitude of 7.5 hit less than a minute later, 39 seconds after the first, near Yumare/Morón.
 
Buildings collapsed across Caracas, trapping people in rubble.
 
Acting President Delcy Rodriguez declared a state of emergency and confirmed fatalities, extending condolences to families who suffered the loss of a family member.
 
Casualty figures remain preliminary as search and rescue operations continue.
