Xi Jinping Likely to Visit India for BRICS Summit in September

Chinese President Xi Jinping is likely to visit India next month to attend the BRICS Summit, according to reports. If confirmed, it would mark his first visit to India in nearly seven years.

Xi is reportedly expected to arrive in India on September 12–13 with a large delegation of around 400 members. However, there has been no official confirmation yet regarding his visit or a possible meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speculation over Xi’s India visit has intensified amid National Security Adviser Ajit Doval’s ongoing visit to China, adding further significance to the expected high-level diplomatic engagement.
