In a bid to curb road accidents, the Odisha Government has adopted a stricter approach towards traffic rule violations. The State Transport Authority (STA) has issued a circular stating that offenders will now face more than just fines. Vehicles will be seized, not just fined, if found without valid fitness certificate, insurance, or permit.
