The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a notice to Telegram over the widespread circulation of pirated content on the platform. The Ministry has directed Telegram to take immediate action against pirated films, OTT content, and other copyrighted material being shared on channels and groups. The platform has been instructed to submit an Action Taken Report within 15 days. The Ministry has also issued safety advisories to the film industry, broadcasters, OTT platforms, and producers to strengthen measures against online piracy.
