In the first phase, 2,200 Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Vidyalayas will be established across the state. In a review meeting, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi directed to provide land for 2,200 schools by March 2027. Collectors have been instructed to monitor the progress of the work every week. District administrations will prepare weekly reports and submit them to the School and Mass Education Secretary. The Chief Minister himself will review the progress of this project every month. The State Government aims to ensure timely completion of the Adarsha Vidyalayas to provide quality education and better infrastructure to students in both rural and urban areas. Officials said the establishment of these model schools is a major step toward strengthening the school education system in Odisha.
