Praggnanandhaa Becomes First Indian to Win Grand Chess Tour Title
Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa has created history by becoming the first Indian to win the Grand Chess Tour title.
 
Praggnanandhaa defeated American Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana 15–13 in a thrilling final in St. Louis, USA, on Thursday to claim his maiden Grand Chess Tour Finals title.
 
He was part of the Indian team that won the silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games, and the Gold medal in the open section at the 45th Chess Olympiad in 2024.
