Odisha Vigilance has unearthed massive assets belonging to Bhubaneswar Sabar, currently posted as Executive Engineer, Roads & Bridges (R&B) Division Sub-Division, Dharmagarh, Kalahandi. According to officials, Sabar owns 33 plots and a total of 39.64 acres of land. The assets include a 9-acre farm house and an 8-cabin market complex. The searches were carried out by a Vigilance team at six locations in Kalahandi district, including Sabar’s residential buildings, office, government quarters and farmhouse. Bhubaneswar Sabar joined Government service on 01.07.1999 as a Junior Engineer in the R&B Department, Sunabeda Section, Koraput Division, with an initial salary of ₹6,000. He served there till 2003. From 2003 to 2006, he was posted to R&B Section, Nabarangpur. He then worked at R&B Section-II, Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi from 2007 to 2013. He was promoted to Assistant Engineer in 2013 and continued at Bhawanipatna. Sabar was promoted to Assistant Executive Engineer in 2016 and posted to R&B Sub-Division, Dharmagarh, Kalahandi, where he served till 2024. In March 2024, he was promoted to Executive Engineer and continues at Dharmagarh. He has also been holding additional charge as Executive Engineer, R&B Division, Bhawanipatna since January 2025.
