Following the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 examination, former Chief Minister of Odisha and BJD President Naveen Patnaik launched a sharp attack on the Government, following reports of paper leak.

In a statement Patnaik said the cancellation has shattered the dreams of lakhs of medical aspirants and exposed the gross mismanagement of national-level entrance exams by the Centre.

Reacting to the cancellation of NEET UG 2026, LoP Naveen Patnaik said accountability must be swiftly fixed to restore students’ trust. The system must reassure every student that their sweat and perseverance will never be undermined again by lapses.

Naveen alleged that paper leak is a severe blow to the sacred trust students repose in our examination system.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) said on Tuesday that it has decided to cancel the NEET (UG) 2026 examination conducted on May 3, 2026. It will re-conduct the examination. The dates will be notified separately.
