In a major relief for airline companies, the Delhi and Maharashtra Governments have announced significant cuts in tax on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). While, the Delhi Government has reduced VAT on ATF from 25% to 7%, Maharashtra Government has slashed VAT on ATF for Mumbai from 18% to 7%. The tax cut in Mumbai will apply only to domestic flights.
