Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagmohan Meena has resigned from his post citing personal reasons. According to sources, 2013 batch IPS officer Meena submitted his resignation 25 days ago. However, it is yet to be accepted by the authorities. It is learnt that after quitting the police service, Meena plans to join a private company. Meena, an IPS officer, has served as DCP Bhubaneswar and was handling key law and order responsibilities in the city. His resignation has come as a surprise within police circles. The state government is yet to announce who will take charge as the next DCP of Bhubaneswar. Prior to Bhubaneswar, he served as Superintendent of Police in Angul and Ganjam districts. He also served as DCP of Cuttack Urban Police District. He took charge as DCP Bhubaneswar on February 28, 2025.
