The Ayodhya Bar Association has refused legal aid to the accused in the Ram Mandir donation scam and issued a 3-day ultimatum to key office-bearers of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The Ayodhya Bar Association has asked Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, trustee Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao to leave Ayodhya within three days or face jail. The Bar body announced that no lawyer from Ayodhya will fight the case for the accused in the donation irregularities. Any advocate who represents the accused will be fined Rs 5 lakh. Kalika Prasad Mishra, President, Ayodhya Bar Association warned that if its demand is not met, it will completely jam Ayodhya.
