Asian Games Final: India Beat Pakistan by 19 Runs to Win Gold
India clinched the Gold medal in Men’s Cricket at the Asian Games 2026, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by 19 runs in the final.
 
Chasing 212, Pakistan fought well. Hasan Nawaz played a whirlwind innings of 96 off 50 balls, but were kept to 192/6 in 20 overs.
 
Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bat. The team lost Vaibhav Sooryavanshi early, but Abhishek Sharma played a good innings of 61 in 28 balls.
 
For India, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube picked two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah played a crucial role in the win by bowling the decisive 19th over.
 
The 19-run win over Pakistan adds another major achievement to India’s campaign at the Asian Games and brings home the gold medal in men’s cricket.
 
The victory also marks a memorable moment for Indian cricket, with the team overcoming Pakistan in the final to emerge as Asian Games champions.
