26 killed, 61 injured in China Fireworks Plant Explosion

A massive explosion ripped through a fireworks factory in Hunan province, China, killing at least 26 people and leaving 61 others wounded.

The blast occurred at the factory in a rural area of Hunan, a province known as a major hub for fireworks manufacturing. The explosion was so powerful that it caused extensive damage to the facility and sent shockwaves through nearby areas.

Nearly 500 firefighters, rescuers, and medical personnel rushed to the scene immediately after the incident.

Emergency teams are continuing search and rescue operations to locate any missing workers and provide aid to the injured. The 61 wounded have been shifted to nearby hospitals, with several reported to be in critical condition. Officials have launched a probe to determine the exact cause of the blast.
