A shocking development has emerged in the Flydubai case, with reports that an Omani pilot allegedly planned to crash the aircraft into Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in a 9/11-style attack.

During questioning, Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami, with a history of extremist views reportedly admitted of planning an attack targeting the Airport terminal. The pilot intended to crash the aircraft into the Ben Gurion Airport terminal.

The pilot also attacked his fellow pilot near the Jordanian border while the aircraft was approaching Israel. The reported plot was ultimately foiled, with Indian co-pilot Captain Smit Machchhar’s courage and quick response playing a crucial role in preventing the attack.

The revelations have raised serious concerns over aviation security and highlighted the bravery and presence of mind shown by Captain Smit Machchhar in a moment of grave danger.
