West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has announced that the State Government plans to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within the next six months, following the implementation of UCC) in Uttarakhand and Gujarat. Addressing an event in Kolkata on Monday, Adhikari said his Government would also introduce stringent laws against religious conversions after implementing the UCC. Suvendu Adhikari made the remarks while campaigning in Nandigram. West Bengal prepares for the Nandigram by poll scheduled for October 6.
