Choudwar Jail Superintendent Sujit Raul is facing increased legal trouble after the Orissa High Court on Wednesday warned that his interim protection could be withdrawn. A case was registered against Raul over alleged tampering of jail manual records at Choudwar Circle Jail. During investigation, police had sought the original jail manual and related documents from him. However, the court on Wednesday expressed strong displeasure, noting that despite repeated notices, Raul has not submitted the jail manual to the police. The bench cautioned that the interim protection granted to him will be withdrawn if he continues to defy police notices and fails to cooperate with the investigation.
