Odisha Cabinet has approved the extension of the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme to students of Class 9 and 10 for next 5 years. Earlier, the MDM scheme covered students only up to Class 8. The expansion will benefit over 57 lakh students across Odisha. The State Government has earmarked ₹4,224 crore for implementation over the next 5 years.
