Keonjhar Collector has directed all fuel retailers in the district to maintain minimum stock levels of diesel and petrol to ensure uninterrupted supply. Every retail outlet must keep at least 2,000 litres of diesel and 1,000 litres of petrol in reserve for emergency requirements. The directive comes amid concerns over panic buying and sudden rush at petrol pumps in some parts of Odisha. Dealers cannot deny fuel to customers if stock is available.
