A tragic stampede at the famous Ashok Dham Temple in Lakhisarai, Bihar, claimed 7 lives and left several devotees injured on the 3rd Monday of Shravan. Many devotees were injured and have been admitted to nearby hospitals and medical centers. The incident occurred during the morning rush for Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. According to officials, a power wire snapped and fell near the temple premises, triggering panic among the crowd. In the ensuing chaos, devotees started pushing and running, leading to a deadly stampede situation. Authorities have ordered an inquiry into the incident and safety lapses at the temple.
