Death toll of Odia migrant workers in the Tamil Nadu gas tragedy has climbed to 14 after another young woman died during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Anjana Juang from Keonjhar district. She belonged to the Juang tribal community and was undergoing treatment after being critically injured in the industrial gas leak. She succumbed to her injuries while under medical care. The tragic incident occurred at a private industrial unit in Tamil Nadu where a toxic gas leak affected several Odia workers, most of whom were from Kendujhar. Several others are still undergoing treatment, with the condition of some reported to be critical. Odisha Government has been coordinating with Tamil Nadu authorities for medical aid, compensation, and repatriation of the bodies.
