The Southwest Monsoon is likely to arrive in Kerala on May 26, according to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). This is 6 days ahead of the normal onset date of June 1. The department said conditions are becoming favourable for monsoon onset over Kerala in the next few days.
