The Odisha Higher Education Department has directed that all hostels be provided with Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections. The directive comes in view of the ongoing LPG supply crisis. To ensure uninterrupted cooking in hostel kitchens, the department has issued instructions to prioritize PNG connections wherever the facility is available. Regional Directorates of Education have been asked to submit a report by June 30.
