Odisha Government has extended the deadline for Rabi paddy procurement till the 3rd of this month, Supply Minister Krushna Chandra Patra informed on Tuesday. The decision was taken as paddy is still lying unsold in 5 districts. The Government had set a target to procure 20 lakh metric tonnes of Rabi paddy this season. However, so far, 18.79 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured.
