A low pressure area is likely to form over the north-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas by July 3, the India Meteorological Department said. According to the forecast, a cyclonic circulation currently lies active over the north Bay of Bengal adjoining the south Bangladesh coast. Under its influence, the system is expected to intensify into a low pressure area.
