In a major move to ensure timely fertilizer availability and curb black marketing, Odisha Government has approved an interest subvention scheme worth Rs 42 crore over the next five years. Around 2,700 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) will be covered under the scheme. The scheme aims to strengthen PACS/LAMPS financially so they can procure and store fertilizers ahead of the Kharif and Rabi Season.
