Odisha is reeling under a severe fuel crisis as nearly 2,000 private buses have stayed off roads due to non-availability of fuel at petrol pumps. The disruption has brought bus movement to many rural and interior areas to a complete halt, leaving thousands of daily commuters stranded. The Private Bus Owners’ Association has urged the State Government to intervene immediately and ensure adequate fuel supply to restore normal transportation services.
