Odisha has inked a massive ₹1,01,000 crore MoU with the Adani Group for large-scale industrial development in the State. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi attended the MoU signing ceremony between Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company (IHC Group), UAE and IPICOL, Government of Odisha, for a proposed aluminium project. Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company plans to invest $11.5 billion in an integrated aluminium project in Odisha through a joint venture with Adani Group. IHC plans to invest $11.5 billion in an integrated aluminium project in Odisha through a 50:50 joint venture with the Adani Group. State officials said the projects under the MoU are expected to create 53,500 new employment opportunities in Odisha, giving a significant push to the state’s industrial and manufacturing ecosystem.
