Former National President of the Indian Youth Congress BV Srinivas appointed as Chief Organiser of Congress Seva Dal. The appointment comes after Lalji Desai, who previously held the post, was named the AICC Incharge for Odisha. Srinivas, known for his aggressive leadership during his tenure as IYC chief, especially during the first and second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in India. During the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic in India he set up facilities to help Migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to reach back home using Shramik Special trains. The Seva Dal plays a key role in the Congress party’s outreach, training, and cadre-building activities. Congress leadership said the move is part of a broader organisational reshuffle.
