Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday announced that a nationwide ‘Khet Bachao Andolan’ campaign will be held from June 1 to 15. While speaking at the East India Agriculture Conference in Bhubaneswar Chouhan said that higher production will boost profits and ensure farmers get the right price. On farmer welfare, he said emphasis is being given to creating ID cards for farmers. The ‘Khet Bachao Andolan’ will run across the country to support and connect with farmers directly.
