The death toll in the Basanti Bhilla apartment fire in Bhubaneswar has risen to three after a minor succumbed to burn injuries during treatment. A major fire broke out in Basanti Bhilla apartment under Lakshmisagar police station limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. Earlier A security guard and a woman caretaker of the building died in the incident. The minor girl, who had sustained critical burn injuries, was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment. However, she later succumbed. The fire also caused significant damage to property, with several bikes and cars reduced to ashes. Preliminary reports suggest that the blaze may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit.
