President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar on Monday. She reached the capital city aboard a special Indian Air Force Aircraft. Upon her arrival, she was warmly received by Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, and Chief Minister Mohan Majhi at the Bhubaneswar Airport. The President is on a three-day visit to Odisha, during which she will attend events in the districts of Ganjam and Cuttack. Upon her arrival, she will travel to Damapada in Cuttack district to inaugurate Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj University. She will return to Bhubaneswar and stay overnight at Lok Bhavan. On August 4, the President will take a train journey from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur and perform darshan and aarti at Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple and Shiva Temple at Taptapani. Bhubaneswar and Berhampur railway stations have been placed under high security.
