Hockey India Announces ₹11 Lakh Reward for Each Asian Games Gold Medallist

Hockey India has announced a cash reward of ₹11 lakh for each member of the Indian Men’s Hockey team following their Gold medal victory at the 2026 Asian Games.

Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey announced the reward, recognising the team’s impressive performance in securing the Gold medal. Each coach and member of the support staff will also receive ₹5.5 lakh as a reward.

The Indian Men’s team defeated Malaysia 5-1 in the Asian Games final to successfully defend its title and secure direct qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The announcement comes a day after Hockey India declared an identical reward structure for the Indian women’s hockey team, which also won the Asian Games Gold medal.
