Manoj Kumar Agrawal, IAS, who was serving as the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the Government of West Bengal. His retirement is due in July this year. A former IITian Agrawal had previously overseen the Election Commission-mandated Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in the State ahead of the Assembly Elections.
