Actor and former MP Anubhav Mohanty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Orissa High Court’s order in a case filed by his ex-wife Varsha Priyadarshini.

The Supreme Court has issued notice to Varsha Priyadarshini, seeking her reply in the matter.

Anubhav had filed a discharge petition in the Puri Ghat police station case related to allegations of mental harassment. The special court for MPs/MLAs rejected his application. The High Court upheld the lower court’s order and dismissed his plea.

Challenging the High Court verdict, Anubhav has now moved the Supreme Court. Varsha had earlier filed an FIR alleging mental torture at Anubhav’s residence. The case also names two others – Khageswar and Sujit, along with Anubhav.
