Odisha Government has announced closure of schools in 4 districts of the State today in view of the prevailing flood situation. As per the District Administration’s decision, all Government and Private Schools along with Anganwadi Centres will remain closed in Bhadrak, Jajpur, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi. Officials said the step has been taken keeping in mind student safety amid heavy rainfall and waterlogging in low-lying areas. District administrations have been asked to monitor the situation closely and take further decisions if required. Authorities have urged parents and school managements to follow the administration’s advisories.
