In a major relief for patients, cancer treatment will now be available under the Ayushman Bharat card in Odisha. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling announced the decision on Saturday. The State Government has also added 121 new treatment packages to the Gopabandhu Arogya Yojana. These packages include facilities for cancer treatment as well. Speaking to the media, the Minister said the Mukhyamantri Cancer Arogya Yojana has been included in the state budget. Minister Mahaling said the entire expenditure for cancer treatment will be borne by the state fund. The move is aimed at making advanced cancer care more accessible and affordable for people across Odisha.
