In the wake of the recent controversy at Ravenshaw University involving Kataka Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, the University authorities have appointed a new Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Wardens, Wardens and Deputy Wardens for different hostels. Chief Warden Sudarshan Mishra has been replaced, with Professor Purnendu Padhi appointed as the new Chief Warden. Two Deputy Chief Wardens, Manoj Kumar Das and Rashmirekha Satapathy, have also been transferred from their positions. Professor Deepti Rout and Dwiti Krushna Behera have been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Wardens. The reshuffle extends to the university’s various hostels, with 26 wardens and deputy wardens also being transferred and reassigned. The administrative changes come after a controversy involving an MLA and university hostel officials, following which the university authorities have taken steps to restructure the hostel administration.
