Operation Sindoor was not an End, it was the beginning: Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai
Marking the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai on Wednesday said Operation Sindoor was not an end. It was just the beginning.

He stressed that India’s fight against terrorism would continue with determination and responsibility. India will defend its sovereignty, its security, and its people decisively, professionally and with the utmost responsibility.

Speaking at a press conference in Jaipur, he said, the armed forces have identified terror launch pads, terror camps, and terror infrastructure across the Line of Control.

He reiterated that India’s response to terrorism will be precise and decisive, backed by strong intelligence and multi-domain coordination between agencies.

Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai on Wednesday said the operation proved that Atmanirbhar Bharat is “not just a slogan, it is indeed a force multiplier.”

Lt Gen Ghai highlighted India’s growing self-reliance in defence, stating that over 65% of defence equipment is now being manufactured domestically.

Detailing the operation, Lt Gen Ghai credited its success to seamless multi-agency and multi-domain coordination. Intelligence agencies provided the accurate information that is so critical to precision targeting. Cyber and electronic warfare units maintained information dominance throughout, he noted.

Lieutenant General Zubin A. Minwalla, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti and Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod addressed a press conference on the anniversary of Operation Sindoor in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
