The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking major reforms in the conduct of NEET-UG, following the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam over paper leak allegations. FAIMA has urged the apex court to direct the Centre to restructure the National Testing Agency, citing repeated failures in conducting large-scale exams without leaks or technical glitches. The petition demands the mandatory use of advanced technical measures for NEET, including AI-based proctoring, real-time question paper encryption and GPS-tracked transportation of papers. FAIMA has requested the formation of a high-level committee headed by a retired Supreme Court judge to audit NTA’s functioning. The petition comes amid nationwide protests by NEET aspirants after NTA cancelled NEET-UG 2026.
