Odisha Government has ordered the closure of all schools, colleges and anganwadis in 11 districts today in view of heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions. Districts where institutions will remain closed: Bhadrak, Kendujhar, Jajpur, Baragada, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Sundargada, Debagada, Sonepur, and Balangir. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students and staff amid continuous rain and waterlogging in several areas. District administrations have been directed to monitor the situation closely and take further decisions based on weather updates. The IMD has forecast more rainfall in the affected districts over the next 24 hours.
