Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth has assumed charge as the 31st Chief of the Indian Army. He succeeded General Upendra Dwivedi, who completed his tenure as Army Chief. Lt General Dhiraj Seth will serve until August 31, 2028. Lt Gen Seth steps into the role carrying nearly four decades of military experience. He previously served as the 49th Vice Chief of the Army Staff.
