BJP’s Bengal Tally rises to 207; TMC reduced to 80
A day after its landslide victory in West Bengal, the BJP’s seat count climbed further to 207 following a recount win in the Rajarhat-New Town constituency.

BJP candidate Piyush Kanodia was declared elected after the recount, defeating sitting two-term TMC MLA Tapash Chatterjee by a margin of 309 votes.

Election officials confirmed the revised result late Tuesday evening after a tense recount process that stretched for several hours.
