The US Congress has passed a Russia sanctions package that authorizes President Donald Trump to impose tariffs of up to 100% on countries that continue to buy Russian oil and gas, including India and China. The bill — officially named the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 was passed by the Senate and cleared the House on Wednesday with a 262-159 vote. It will now go to President Trump’s desk for his signature. Trump has said he will sign it.
